Berlioz uses two sets of timpani to drench the Royal hunting party in a ferocious storm. Lalo imprints the influence of his Spanish heritage onto a Germanic structure in this symphonic concerto which will show off Timothy Chooi's fiery technique. Saint-Saens added the organ, the king of instruments to elevate the impact of his Symphony No.3. This is symphony music of power and panache.

Christmas Oratorio

Bach for performance by choir, soloists and orchestra on Christmas 1734. The beautiful text is based on the Nativity according to St. Luke and St. Matthew. This Christmas let your spirit be lifted by the forty voices of the Okanagan Festival Singers, selected soloists and a splendid orchestral performance by the Okanagan Festival Camerata, featuring magnificent virtuoso trumpet playing. This music embraces the customary mixture of parts, with rousing choruses, richly harmonized Lutheran chorales, florid arias and declamatory recitatives. An evening not to be missed!
